We have yet another recall to tell you about as well as a warning for parents.
Graco is recalling about one and a half million strollers due to fingertip amputation and laceration hazards.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. The specific products include Graco Passage, Alano and Spree Strollers as well as Travel Systems and were manufactured out of China.
The problem centers around the hinges on the stroller's canopy. Graco and the CPSC say they pose a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is opening or closing the canopy.
Graco has received seven reports of children placing their fingers in the stroller's canopy hinge mechanism while the canopy was being opened or closed, resulting in five fingertip amputations and two fingertip lacerations.
The strollers were sold at various retail outlets including Burlington Coat Factory, Babies "R" Us, Toys "R" Us, Kmart, Sears and Target among others from October 2004 through December 2009.
