400,000 cribs manufactured by Simplicity are being recalled because of a suffocation hazard. The company has had similar recalls in September when it recalled 600,000 cribs and in 2007 when it recalled 1 million cribs.
The latest recall was spurred by the death of an 8 month old child who suffocated when some hardware broke in the crib and created a gap. The cribs were sold nationwide from January 2005 to June 2009.
