What is negligence?

Negligence, sometimes also called negligent behavior, is most commonly defined as any sort of act carried out without a reasonable amount of care and attention. Negligence can result in injury or bodily harm to other people. When this happens, the victim of the negligent behavior has legal cause to claim compensation for damages.

Because children are often unable to protect themselves, they are especially vulnerable to acts of negligence. Anyone responsible for the safety of children – including teachers, toy companies, and day cares, to name just a few – must avoid negligent behavior at all costs.

If your child has suffered an injury due to the negligence of a third party, child injury lawyer Jeffrey Killino can help you get the justice you and your child deserve. Call 877-875-2927 today for a free consultation.
